Wulai Falls

Boasting a range of exciting activities, these falls offer natural wonder and man-made fun for visitors to enjoy.

About

The tallest waterfall in Northern Taiwan, Wulai Waterfall offers visitors incredible scenery, mountainous hikes among wildlife, and a range of attractions around the falls. Below the waterfall, a street lined with restaurants and food carts welcomes visitors for a midday snack or post-hike lunch break. From here, you can also get on a gondola that leads to the upper level of the waterfall and enjoy the views from higher up. Once here, there is a small amusement park where there is a canoe pond, a swimming pool, and other family-friendly activities. The town of Wulai was an Atayal aborigine village, and its name which translates to hot or poisonous comes from the prevalence of hot springs in the area. These springs are mostly channeled into hotels and bathhouses now, where visitors can book experiences.
