Since planting its first vines in 1984, the Palliser estate winery has gone on to win over 80 gold medals for its wines, including the Champion Chardonnay in 2008. The winery operated with a simple objective in mind: to make consistently great wines while protecting the environment. In the contemporary Cellar Door, winner of the Resene Total Colour Neutrals Award for its decor, you can enjoy a wine tasting led by one of the knowledgeable staff, and maybe pick up a bottle or two. The winery also offers a range of other wine experiences, from a tour of the vineyard, to a look behind the scenes of the wine-making process, to a fun and informative wine and cheese pairing.
