Malaysia’s first floating mosque is a exquisite combination of elegant architecture and natural beauty.
Completed in 1995, the Tengku Tengah Zaharah Mosque was the first floating mosque in Malaysia. Covering 5 acres in the Kuala Ibai Lagoon with the South China Sea stretching out behind it, the Mosque is a magnificent combination of Modern and Moorish architecture that incorporates decorative concrete with traditional marble, ceramics, and mosaics. This stunning white structure with its sleek modern lines is made doubly beautiful reflected on the waters below. Please note: if you’d like to go inside, appropriate clothing is required, or you must borrow a robe.
