Sweden; the motherland of IKEA - what better place to have The IKEA Museum? The first ever store opened in Älmhult in 1958, and so it is fitting that the museum is housed in the very same building. It’s dedicated to telling the story of the furniture giant’s humble beginnings, with the then-17-year-old founder Ingvar Kamprad starting by trading matches as a boy. Explore recreated living spaces from different eras that showcase how IKEA furniture and design have evolved over time, and head to the “Democratic Design” exhibit for an insight to the design process for IKEA products. A restaurant serves up traditional Swedish cuisine and a gift shop sells cute IKEA products, with an outlet store just nearby. Yes! A return trip will take you back to your city of origin in the same size car in which you arrived. Return trips can be booked for the any day. You can also add customized sightseeing stops separately for each trip! Don’t worry if you don’t know your exact address at the time of booking - you’ll have the opportunity to update us closer to your travel date. Make sure to select “Return” when you start the booking process, then choose the dates and times of your departures.

Simply choose your origin and destination via our homepage and enter your departure date and time. It’s a simple, easy, and fun way to book your next adventure! And if you don’t see your desired route on our website, you can request a custom trip. You will receive the vehicle that best fits the number of travelers in your group, ranging from a sedan to a van for groups of up to 7. Depending where you travel, you can book anything from a sedan comparable to a Toyota Corolla to a Mercedes V-Class to a Classic Cuban Car. While the exact model may vary, we always ensure that the vehicle provided meets your needs in terms of safety, reliability, and comfort. You may be upgraded to a larger vehicle class free of charge depending on availability. Since our largest vehicle seats 7, for groups larger a combination of vehicles will be used. We will send you the exact vehicle details a few days before your trip.
