One of the world’s largest collections of armored vehicles traces the tank’s history and development in different countries and eras.
In 1977, Colonel Michel Aubry started this museum dedicated to armored vehicles with the help of the French military, local authorities, and a few hundred tanks. Part of Aubry’s mission was to restore as many vehicles as possible to running condition. Today, there are over 800 military vehicles, including tanks, armoured cars, and mobile artillery - many of which are operational - on display, making it the world’s largest museum of its kind. Over 15 exhibition halls, vehicles from 17 countries tell the story of the tank’s development from World War I to today. Along with the workhorses, there are many rare vehicles, such as the world’s only functional Tiger II. The museum also host special events and exhibits, so please visit their website to see their schedule http://www.museedesblindes.fr/en/
