Museum of Ancient Greek Technology
The carefully recreated machinations in this private museum are astounding examples of manâs limitless ingenuity.
About
The Museum of Ancient Greek Technology is the brainchild of Kostas Kotsanas, a mechanical engineer who spent decades researching and recreating Greeceâs most groundbreaking inventions through the ages. Over 500 models of Greek inventions are accompanied by audio-visual presentations. Here, visitors can learn about the ancient empireâs ingenious inventions, ranging from a precursor of chess, to cranes, automatons, and a variety of scientific implements. One of the most fascinating aspects of the museum is that it outlines how these ancient mechanisms have contributed to todayâs technology.
