Founded in 2010, Yedi Bilgeler takes its name from the seven sages who lived in the region in the 6th century BC, and laid the foundations for Greek philosophy. Grapes suited to the local soil and climate were imported from France, and the production process carefully planned to be as natural as possible - there aren’t even any pumps since the fermentation tanks were placed on a higher level than the storage tanks. On a tour of the winery, you can see the production area and storage cellars. If you happen to visit during the vintage season, you’re even able to join in harvest activities if you’re so inclined, while the rest of the year, these activities are presented in photographs and film.
