Regional Museum of the Valley of Juarez was established by a school principal who, upon noticing that many historically significant artifacts in the region were being taken abroad or sold, rallied local children to help rescue pieces of historical and archaeological value. The museum is housed in a building that served as a school for 50 years and showcases several collections. Noteworthy among them are the mineralogy collection; a collection of marine fossils; artifacts linked to the ancient Pueblo Indians, who once inhabited this part of northern Mexico; items from the Hacienda de San Agust├нn that shed light on Mexico's defeat in the war against Texas and the subsequent signing of the Guadalupe-Hidalgo Treaty; and a collection focused on the Mexican Revolution in northern Mexico. The museum is open daily with free admission. To check opening hours, contact museovallejrz@gmail.com or call +52 656 384 7957.
