Marbella is at the crossroads of European Christianity, North African Islam, and Mediterranean allure. Marbella derives from the Arabic Marbal La or “shiny stone” because of the lighthouses the Moors built in the 10th century along the shores.
You’ll see influences of the Romans, Moors, the Renaissance, and even Salvador Dali at every turn. Contemporary villas and luxury resorts embrace modern influences, while older buildings embrace the Andalusian courtyards and tilework.
From pristine beaches and world-class golf courses to Michelin-starred restaurants and chic boutiques, Marbella caters to everyone’s dream vacation.
Ride in style from Seville to Marbella with a private driver. In order for your trip to go as smoothly as possible, follow these tips!
Spain participates in the tradition of the siesta, or a midday rest. Remember that siesta time may mean that shops are closed during the hottest part of the day, right after lunch. If there is a particular spot you want to see during this time, call ahead to confirm their opening hours. On the positive side, expect stores to be open later than what you might usually expect in your home country.
We don’t have to remind you that Spain is hot! Make sure your water bottle, hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen are in the car with you. Nothing makes for a travel delay quite like digging through all your packed luggage because you forgot something.
Traveling from Seville to Marbella offers a delightful journey through the heart of Andalusia, showcasing the region's captivating beauty and rich cultural heritage.
A car is definitely the way to travel through Andalusia. Don’t let heavy luggage get in your way on the bus. With everything Marbella has to offer, you’ll need outfits for the beach, the golf course, dinner out, and even hiking.

A luxury holiday requires luxury travel. Arrive in style with a private driver and door-to-door service for luggage. Daytrip's drivers are locals, speak Spanish and English, and can give you local perspectives and insider information on the best beaches or nature trails. These professional drivers know the route like the back of their hand and will safely get you to the coast.
Perhaps even better than the world-class service, Daytrip makes it easy to stop for sightseeing along the way! Step back in time at the Archaeological Ensemble of Italica, or be wowed by the bridges of clifftop Ronda.
Buses provide a convenient and affordable option to cover the distance, with several daily departures from Seville's main bus station to Marbella. The Avanza Grupo offers a direct bus service with tickets costing €13-€27. The direct bus service typically takes around 3.5 hours, while buses with a transfer will be over 4 hours.

Seafood plays a major part in traditional Andalusian cuisine. Make sure pescaíto frito (fried fish) and estepos de sardinas (sardine skewers) make it onto your plate at one of the tapas bars. Gazpacho and Ajoblanco are popular cold soups to cool down with after a sunny day on the beach. For a taste of luxury, head to Puerto Banus for upscale dining and panoramic views of the marina.
The best times to visit Marbella for the beaches are during the spring (March to May) and fall (September to November) when the weather is mild, and the crowds are smaller. “Last minute plan change and Daytrip was our last resort so I chatted with them and had an immediate response from a real person, best situation ever. Never used Daytrip before but the reviews were incredible so we took the chance and booked a driver at like 11-12pm and by 7am the next morning when we woke, they found us a driver and the driver had already texed us making contact! Very impressed and will definitely use them again. We went from Dubrovnik, Croatia to Tivat, Montenegro.”

Nov 9, 2024“Andreas did a great job picking us up from Pireaus Cruise Port and taking us to our rental in Spata. The three of us had been on a long cruise and had 9 pieces of luggage. He arrived in an appropriate vehicle and loaded and unloaded all of it. We are very happy with out decision to book with Daytrip.”

Nov 1, 2024“We booked a private transfer from Seville to Marbella on 10 December. Daytrip and Miguel were accommodating and understanding to change our date. Miguel gave us excellent service and we felt very safe with him. He could converse with my husband and they soon became friends! We certainly will not hesitate to use Daytrip or recommend our friends to Daytrip and Miguel.”

Dec 18, 2021“My family and I (4 total), traveling from the U.S to Portugal and Spain used Mydaytrips for a few different tours and transport needs. I will say, I was a bit worried, wondering what my back-up plan would be if for some reason my ride never showed up. Thankfully that did not happen, Mydaytrip drivers showed up on time and all were very good. We used Mydaytrip for transportation from Lisbon to Albufeira, with a stop in Evora with Serafim. Serafim was waiting on time for us at our Hotel and was a wonderful driver. We then used Mydaytrip for the ride from Albufeira to Seville, no stops this time. but Joao C. d. C, our driver was at the Hotel (complicated hotel to find...) on time and drove us the couple hours to Seville. Finally we used Mydaytrip for transport from Seville to Marbella Spain, with a stop at Ronda. Ricardo C was our driver and tour guide for this one. Ricardo was fantastic, wonderful person, great driver, warm personality, very professional. All of the drivers spoke pretty good English, Ricardo very good. I much preferred this way of travelling in Portugal and Spain, rather than bus, airplane or train. I would highly recommend Mydaytrips based on my families wonderful experience with this firm and their drivers.”

Apr 6, 2019All Daytrip drivers speak English* as well as their native language (and sometimes additional languages too!). They'll be happy to discuss local history and culture with you, as well as answer any questions you may have. And because they speak the language, they're able to provide you with a unique opportunity to connect with local culture. *Drivers for Lite service aren't required to speak English but must meet all other standards.
We screen all our drivers for criminal and traffic records, and personally interview each one. We also inspect their cars for safety, comfort, and reliability. All cars must be less than ten years old, in excellent operating condition, and insured as required by local law. And because our drivers are locals, they're familiar with the rules and customs of the road.
If you’re traveling with children, make sure to let us know in the booking so we can get the appropriate child seats ready!
Pets are allowed (and loved)! We just need to know beforehand. You can tell us about them in the next phase of the booking.
Gratuity isn’t included or required, but if you really enjoyed your trip, you can show your driver your appreciation with an optional tip (10% is sufficient).
Each passenger is allowed to have one checked bag and one carry on. If you’re traveling with more bags or oversized luggage, you can adjust this while booking.
Pay by credit card online, or in cash directly to your driver!
Every traveler deserves real insight into the cultures of the countries they’re visiting. And every amazing place on Earth deserves to be visited and appreciated. We believe unique local knowledge and real human connection are irreplaceable when it comes to truly comprehending another culture.
