Mount Rigi is accessible via Europe's oldest mountain railway (Rigi Bahn) departing from Vitznau or Arth-Goldau, or by cable car from Weggis. Most visitors take the scenic boat ride across Lake Lucerne to Vitznau, then connect to the cogwheel train for a classic Swiss experience combining water, lake, and mountain landscapes.
