Tucked away in the southeast of Madeira, Reis Magos Beach is a hidden gem that invites you in for an invigorating dip in the Atlantic ocean. Despite being a pebble beach, a concrete sunbathing area is dotted with parasols and leads to a boardwalk that stretches along the entire beachfront for leisurely ocean-view walks. It’s a perfect spot for snorkeling and diving, with the Madeira Diving Center based on the waterfront. The beach has been recognised for its excellent clear waters, hoisting its certified Blue Flag each year. Head up the road to Forte de São Sebastião do Caniço for great photo opportunities overlooking the edge of a cliff down to the beach, or stop for a drink or meal at one of the several lovely restaurants by the water.
