Yes. The Museo del Costume in Nuoro holds one of the most comprehensive collections of traditional Sardinian dress anywhere on the island. Nuoro is often called the "Athens of Sardinia" for its strong literary and cultural traditions. It was the birthplace of Grazia Deledda, the first Italian woman to win the Nobel Prize in Literature. The city sits on the slopes of Mount Ortobene and offers a genuine window into traditional inland Sardinian life, far removed from the beach resorts of the coast.
