Hanoi to Du Hang Pagoda and Ba Vang Pagoda: Private day trip

The origins of the Du Hang Pagoda date back to the end of the 10th century when a monk came and taught Buddhism to the people at the end of the reign of King Le Dai Hanh. Over the course of its long history, the temple has been restored, rebuilt, and expanded on several occasions, most recently in 1917 when the library and gardens were added. Within the pagoda are seven rooms for worshipping Buddha, filled with many statues and artwork dating back to the 19th century.

The Ba Vang Pagoda was founded in 1706 by Zen Master Mahasamon – Tue Bich Pho Giac. Surrounded by 124 hectares of land, the building is an exceptional example of the Truc Lam Yen Tu Zen style. Though the original building was lost to the ravages of time, it was rebuilt in its traditional style in 1993 and filled with precious stonework and ceramics dating back to the 13th and 14th centuries. A popular destination for pilgrims, even laymen will appreciate traditional architecture and many statues, all of which are over 2 meters tall.
