What to try
- Arriving at opening time (8:00 AM) to beat both the crowds and the ferocious midday heat — the site is almost entirely without shade, so early mornings are when Teotihuacán is at its most atmospheric and manageable

- Climbing the pyramids is currently not permitted. Bring a hat, sunscreen, and plenty of water. Tickets can be booked online in advance to skip the queue at the gate
