Florence to Venice by private car

### Florence to Venice by train Trains frequently depart Florence’s Santa Maria Novella station for Venice's Santa Lucia station. A high-speed train can make the journey to Venice in as little as 2 hours and 5 minutes, not counting the time getting to and from the train stations. This infrastructure improvement makes flights obsolete for this route. Expect to pay around €30-60. The train has bathrooms and cafe cars. Book your ticket in advance for the best prices. ### Florence to Venice by bus Multiple bus companies service the route from Florence to Venice. Some are direct, and some require changing buses in Bologna. A bus ticket will cost between €10-50 depending on the season, speed, and availability. Expect a direct connection to take 3-4 hours. Purchase your ticket ahead of time, as this route fills up fast, and make sure you account for all of your luggage to avoid surprise fees later. ### Florence to Venice by rental car Head north on the A1 highway, also known as the Autostrada del Sole, towards Bologna. This route will have tolls. The drive along the A1 from Florence to Venice takes you through the scenic Tuscan countryside, characterized by rolling hills, vineyards, and cypress trees. If you aren’t in a rush, have a coffee break in Bologna, renowned for its medieval architecture and delicious cuisine. The city center is rich in history, featuring the famous Two Towers, Piazza Maggiore, and numerous arcaded streets. Once back on the road, the A13 will take you from Bologna to Padua. Consider visiting Ferrara, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, on your way. In Padua, follow the signs for the E70. After about 6 miles (10 km) on the E70, follow signs to the A57. The A57 will take you straight to Maghera, right on the coast. ### Parking in Venice As you approach Venice, follow the signs to reach the outskirts of the city. Venice does not allow cars within the historic center (where would they drive?). You'll need to park your car at one of the designated parking areas or garages and take a vaporetto (water bus) or water taxi to reach the heart of the city. Venice offers several parking options. On the island, the Piazzale Roma and Tronchetto are large parking garages and may be a good destination to put into your GPS. From these parking areas, you can easily access water transportation to reach the historical center of Venice. Parking costs about €25-35 for 24 hours, and usually you have to pay for the whole 24 hours even if you do not stay all day. A slightly cheaper option is to leave the car in Mestre on the mainland, for €5-15 per 24 hours. From Mestre, trams depart incredibly frequently and take about 20 minutes to travel over the water to Venice.

September von Lefkada zurück nach Athen. Beide Fahrten beinhalteten Stopps an landschaftlich reizvollen Orten in Griechenland. Beide Fahrer waren ausgezeichnet und entgegenkommend. Besonders möchten wir jedoch Panos Peppas hervorheben, der unser Fahrer von Lefkada nach Athen war. “Gonzalo von Daytrip war unser Fahrer und er war absolut großartig. Er hat alles gegeben, um uns zu finden, da unser Handysignal nicht besonders gut war. Geduldig wartete er in der Lobby auf unsere Ankunft, um uns vom Tulum Dreams Resort zu unserem anderen Hotel in Cancún zu bringen, eineinhalb Stunden entfernt, in der Nähe des Flughafens, vor unserem Heimflug. “Marianna holte uns ab, um uns von Heraklion nach Chania zu fahren. Das Wetter war schrecklich und deshalb kam Marianna ein paar Minuten zu spät. Sie kontaktierte mich, um mich darüber zu informieren. Marianna lebt in Chania und machte unsere Fahrt sehr interessant, indem sie uns über lokale Aktivitäten und Sehenswürdigkeiten in Chania erzählte. Marianna ist eine sichere Fahrerin und wir fühlten uns alle wohl mit ihrer Fahrweise und Geschwindigkeit, selbst bei starkem Regen. Sie ist eine sehr nette Person und spricht fließend Englisch. Großartige Entscheidung, Daytrip für unseren Europaurlaub zu nutzen. 100% empfohlen!

“Meine Familie und ich haben vier Wochen durch mehrere Länder Westeuropas gereist. Ich habe insgesamt sechs Transfers mit Daytrip gebucht (Rom – Florenz, Florenz – Venedig, Venedig – Salzburg, Salzburg – Hohenschwangau, Hohenschwangau – München und München – Luzern). Jeder Transfer, bis auf einen, verlief äußerst reibungslos mit modernen Autos, professionellen und angenehmen Fahrern sowie pünktlichen Transfers. Die zusätzlichen vorgeschlagenen Stopps während der Fahrten waren von großem Wert. Unser Fahrer half uns nicht nur, zu diesen Orten zu gelangen, sondern half uns auch bei den Tickets und gab uns großartige Informationen zur Geschichte und zu den Hintergründen der Orte, die wir besuchten. Der einzige Transfer, der nicht wie geplant verlief, beeindruckte mich sogar noch mehr von Daytrip. Bei unserem Transfer von Venedig nach Salzburg meldete der Fahrer kurz vor unserer Abfahrt, dass er krank sei. Aber anstatt uns hängen zu lassen, organisierte Daytrip sofort einen Ersatzfahrer. Sie entschädigten uns für die Verspätung, indem sie 50 % des Preises erstatteten. So kamen wir nur ein paar Stunden später in Salzburg an. Ich war von den Fahrern, der Kommunikation und dem Kundenservice sowie der Zuverlässigkeit des Unternehmens begeistert.”

Daytrip ist eine Plattform, die Sie mit lokalen Fahrern verbindet, welche Sie von Tür zu Tür und von einer Stadt zur nächsten bringen. Wir bieten Ihnen auch die Möglichkeit an Sehenswürdigkeiten entlang des Weges zu erkunden. Wir fahren, Sie entdecken.

Alle Buchungen mit Daytrip sind Einzelfahrten. Wenn Sie eine Rückfahrt an einem anderen Datum benötigen, buchen Sie diese einfach als separate Einzelfahrt. Für eine Retourfahrt am selben Tag können Sie eine individualisierte Strecke anfragen (/custom-route). Sollten Sie länger als ein paar Stunden bleiben wollen, empfehlen wir dennoch zwei Einzelfahrten zu buchen, damit Sie den Fahrer nicht für das Warten bezahlen müssen.

Für Daytrip's privaten Service können Sie bis zu 24 Stunden vor Abfahrt kostenfrei stornieren. Für den Daytrip Pool Shuttle bieten wir 3 Ticketoptionen an: Nicht erstattungsfähig, Flexibel bei Stornierungen 24 Stunden vor Abfahrt und Super-flexibel mit Stornierungen bis zu 15 Minuten vor Abfahrt. Während Sie Ihre Buchung bis zu 24 Stunden im Voraus stornieren können, unterliegen Änderungen, die weniger als 36 Stunden vorher angefragt werden, der Verfügbarkeit des Fahrers, insbesondere in der Hochsaison.

Es ist eine einfache, schnelle und unterhaltsame Art, Ihr nächstes Abenteuer zu buchen! Und wenn Sie Ihre gewünschte Route nicht auf unserer Website sehen, können Sie eine individuelle Fahrt anfordern. Sie können sogar buchen, ohne die genaue Abhol- oder Zieladresse zu kennen – wir lassen Sie diese später hinzufügen!

Jeder Passagier darf einen großen Koffer (74 x 53 x 28 cm) und eine kleine Tasche (56 x 36 x 23 cm) mitnehmen. Luxusfahrzeuge können nur 2 große Koffer transportieren. Wir stellen immer das Fahrzeug zur Verfügung, das am besten zu Ihnen und Ihrem Gepäck passt. Stellen Sie also sicher, dass Sie bei der Buchung die tatsächliche Menge an Gepäck angeben, mit der Sie reisen werden. Sollten Sie übergroßes Gepäck haben oder unsicher sein ob ihr Gepäck passt, kontaktieren Sie uns per Email auf daytrip@daytrip.com.

Überall außer in den USA stellen die Fahrer geeignete Kindersitze zur Verfügung (lassen Sie uns dies bei der Buchung wissen). In den USA verlangen einige Staaten, dass Sie Ihre eigenen Kindersitze mitbringen.
