B.B. King Museum and Delta Interpretive Center
Delve into the life of the legendary bluesman and the rich culture of the Delta in general.
About
B.B. King Museum and Delta Interpretive Center explores the life and times of B.B. King and other blues musicians and the Delta culture that gave rise to the Blues. Housed in the restored brick cotton gin building where B.B. King worked in the 1940s, the museum showcases an extensive collection of artifacts owned by King, including guitars, outfits, and awards. But alongside the memorabilia, displays about his life and the lives of other musicians of the Delta shed light on the culture behind the Blues. Outside the museum, youâll find B.B Kingâs burial place and memorial garden. The center also hosts special events throughout the year, ranging from concerts to movie screenings and workshops, all tied to the Blues and Delta culture.
