The twelfth-century Burghausen castle complex situated in Oberbayern high above the Salzach River is the longest castle complex in Europe and is still lived in today. The complex stretches an imposing 3000 feet and offers striking views of the picturesque Bavarian countryside from the towers located along the castle walls.
