Chicago Botanic Garden
Experience flora from around the world as you stroll through dozens of serene themed gardens.
About
Spanning 385-acres on 9 islands, the Chicago Botanic Garden is more like a living plant museum. The 27 display gardens each have a different theme, bringing flora from around the world into four natural habitats. Contemplate the organic shapes of meticulously maintained bonsai trees, or search for quiet corners in the English Walled Garden. Thereâs arching bridges, and isolated islands, and in the spring thousands of colorful bulbs burst into bloom. During winter, the greenhouse with its delicate orchids is a welcome respite from the biting cold. Throughout the year, they also host special exhibitions and classes, so you can improve your horticulture or photography skills. For more information, please visit chicagobotanic.org
