Cudillero

With its pastel houses lining a turquoise bay, this little fishing village is among the prettiest and most authentic in the country.

About

Some legends say Cudillero was founded by the Vikings. While we cannot confirm these claims, what we can say is Cudillero has been doubted as one of the prettiest villages in Spain. This teeny tiny fishing settlement is off limits to cars and exploring has to be done on foot - the way it should be. Cudillero's charm is built on unique colorful architecture and narrow streets. Each fishing boat in the harbor has to correspond with its color to the house's color where its owner and fisherman lives. All this of this has a background of beautiful turquoise water of the Atlantic Ocean. So, when you visit, you get to enjoy off the beaten track way of life mixed with beautiful views. Have a nice walk around the village, soak into the experience and possibly treat yourself with a great cup of coffee in one of the local cafƩs.
