Dion Archaeological Park
Once an important city, hosting the likes of Alexander the Great, nature reclaimed part of this ancient site.
About
The Archaeological Park of Dion is often labelled the most important site of its kind at Mount Olympus, after all - Alexander the Great himself visited the ancient city. Dating back to the 5th century BC, the site features two theatres (Greek and Roman), a bath complex, private houses, and several sanctuaries dedicated to Greek and Roman gods. Time has taken its toll on the site, and with some areas even submerged in water. Visitors can soak in the historical legacy this site has to offer, while feeling like they found themselves in a forgotten city.
