About
Up until 100,000,000 years ago, El Torcal de Antequera was a prehistoric sea floor, but violent tectonic movements and millennia of erosion transformed it into an incredible rocky landscape. Now rising up to 1300 meters above sea level, visitors can enjoy the dramatic landscape of this nature park offers a variety of walking routes. Taking between 30 minutes and 3 hours, these trails offer some beautiful views, and are especially beloved by orchid enthusiasts - 30 varieties can be found in the park. Before you set out, weâd recommend stopping by the information centre and small museum at the park entrance to learn more about its geology and ecology.
