Opening in July 1973, over 100 civilian and military aircraft are on display in this privately owned, 76,000 square meter museum. Spanning a large park and several buildings visitors can see everything from the JU 52, which was used for the first ever large-scale paratrooper assault, to the MIG 23. The museum is also home to the super-constellation that Konrad Adenauer to Moscow in 1955. Along with the complete aircraft, the museum gives visitors the opportunity to inspect numerous engines, technical elements, and even aviation apparel. To complete the experience, take a seat in the Concorde Cafe, housed in a replica of the retired Concorde. The museum is open from April to October.
