Deep under the Osteifel mountains, volcanic activity has been releasing carbon dioxide into underground water for millennia. As it builds up, it has to find somewhere to escape, and this hole in Andernach is one of the best places for it to do so. The result? A frothy jet of water blasting up to 60 meters into the air. The Andernach Gyesir experience is a three-part attraction that begins with an interactive journey in the Geysir center. Afterwards a boat takes you to this witness the the highest cold water geyser in the world.
