Gorges Toudgha

Narrow with soaring walls, this canyon is widely considered one of the the most spectacular in the world.

About

The Todgha Gorge was carved out over millennia by the Todra and Dades Rivers on their final 25-mile stretch through the mountains. The Todgha Gorge is the name given to the last 2000 feet of the canyons. At its narrowest, the gorge is just 33 feet across, but the walls rise up nearly 500 feet on either side. This dramatic view has earned the gorge worldwide recognition as one of the single most spectacular canyons in the world, joining the ranks of places like the Grand Canyon. Though remote, the gorge has become a popular tourist destination, and hiking paths and a well-maintained dirt road make exploring the gorge much more manageable.
