Los Cangilones de Gualaca

Looking like a 40-meter-long crack in the earth, Los Cangilones de Gualaca is the perfect spot for a refreshing adventure. It's only about a 1-minute walk from the parking lot to the start of the canyon, where the river is wide and mellow, so it's still a great spot to cool off, even for the most timid travelers. But follow the sloping bedrock banks up to the middle of the canyon and you have fun drop into the clear blue waters below. Then just let the current bring you to the end of the canyon, rinse, and repeat! Keep your eyes open as you walk around - not only will you see fish darting beneath the surface, but there are fossils embedded in the rocks.
