Monastery of the Transfiguration
This peaceful pyramid was the final work of one of the Philippine's most important architects.
About
Inaugurated in 1983, the Monastery of the Transfiguration was the last work of the National Artist for Architecture, Leandro Locsin. The distinctive black pyramid is home to a community of Benedictine monks, who invite visitors to experience the siteâs tranquil beauty and join their mass on Sundays. Rising out of a green field, the monasteryâs architecture makes it a destination for non-believers, and the rows bonsai trees and carefully sculpted rock garden just add to the sense of serenity.
