Mothman Museum
Learn about the infamous cryptid thatâs terrorized this West Virginia in the 60s.
About
The Mothman Museum details every aspect of the local supernatural creature that has since gained international fame. Think of it as the regionâs Bigfoot or Loch Ness Monster. Just in case youâre unfamiliar with the Mothman, the story goes that back in 1966, residents of Point Pleasant began seeing a âlarge flying man with ten-foot wingsâ. The sightings continued until December 15, 1967, when the Silver Bridge collapsed, killing 46 people. Within the museum, youâll learn a bit about the legend, and a lot about its legacy. Check out the worldâs largest collection of props and memorabilia from âThe Mothman Propheciesâ, plus press archives and rare collectibles.
