Ouzoud Falls
With historic mills, monkeys, and a restaurant-with-a-view, Moroccoâs most impressive waterfalls are more than just a stunning natural attraction.
About
Tumbling 110 meters into a verdant valley, Ouzoud Falls are undoubtedly the most beautiful cascades in Morocco. Ouzoud literally means "the act of grinding grain" in Berber, so itâs apropos that there are a dozen or so old mills still in use at the top of the falls. A moderately difficult though pleasant path shaded by olive trees brings visitors down to the base of the cascade, where you can catch a boat ride to get an up-close view. Thereâs also an on-site restaurant where you can relax with some tajine while soaking in the spectacular view, or you can opt for a more secluded eatery around the corner. If thatâs not enough to keep your attention, thereâs also a colony of macaques living here!
