Warner Bros. Studios, Leavesden
Step into the magical world of Harry Potter in the studios where the movies were filmed.
About
The Warner Bros. Studios in Leavesden was originally a World War II airplane factory - the worldâs largest factory by volume, though the site was eventually abandoned as Englandâs manufacturing industry declined. In 1994, when the huge space was gutted and transformed into a film studio for the James Bond film GoldEye. A succession of major films followed, but it was Harry Potter that would become the studiosâ golden ticket. Over the next 10 years, every Potter film was shot here, and the production crews had the foresight to save many of the sets and props in case they were ever needed. The result was an astounding collection of artefacts that were made into a permanent exhibition for fans of the series. Visitors can join a guided tour and step into the Hogwarts Great Hall, the Forbidden Forest, Diagon Alley, and of course, Platform 9 ž, as well as see costumes, as well as props, and even magical creatures like Buckbeak and Aragog.
