Yes! Book a private, door-to-door airport transfer with a local English-speaking driver. Enjoy fixed and transparent pricing, no hidden fees, and the option to pay in advance without the hassle of exchanging cash at a foreign airport.
You will receive the vehicle that best fits the number of travelers in your group, ranging from a sedan to a van for groups of up to 7. Depending where you travel, you can book anything from a sedan comparable to a Toyota Corolla to a Mercedes V-Class to a Classic Cuban Car. While the exact model may vary, we always ensure that the vehicle provided meets your needs in terms of safety, reliability, and comfort. You may be upgraded to a larger vehicle class free of charge depending on availability. Since our largest vehicle seats 7, for groups larger a combination of vehicles will be used. We will send you the exact vehicle details a few days before your trip.
Everywhere except the USA, drivers will supply appropriate child seats (just let us know during booking). In the USA, certain states require you to supply your own child seats.

So, so happy I stumbled upon this website to book two private transports while visiting Lima, Peru. They were both one-way trips approximately 3 hours in length. Great communication as soon as everything was booked via email and I then downloaded their app. I had a few issues with the app and the customer service was awesome trying to assist me in getting it corrected. Honestly impressive customer service which gave you a positive feeling that you made the right choice. Both drivers were right on time - No issues whatsoever! Can't say enough about the service and ease of everything when travelling so far away. Great job to the daytrip team! Would strongly recommend.
Yes, Djerba is an excellent base for exploring the wider region. A ferry from Ajim takes about 15 minutes to the mainland, from where you can reach the dramatic Tataouine area and its Berber ksour (fortified granaries). The Sahara Desert is accessible on a longer day trip, and the historic town of Gabes is also within reach for those wanting a taste of mainland Tunisia.
Djerba is considered safe and welcoming for visitors. The island has a relaxed atmosphere and a low crime rate. Standard precautions apply: keep valuables secure in busy souk areas, and women traveling solo may want to dress modestly and exercise extra caution after dark. Overall, locals are hospitable and used to welcoming international visitors.
Must-visits include the El Ghriba Synagogue (one of the oldest in Africa), the street art village of Djerbahood in Erriadh, the pottery workshops of Guellala, and the bustling market town of Houmt Souk. Flamingo Island (Ras Rmal) is a popular boat excursion, and Star Wars fans will recognize several filming locations from the original trilogy.
Tunisia uses the Tunisian dinar (TND). Major credit cards are accepted at hotels and larger tourist-facing businesses, but cash is strongly preferred at local markets, souks, and smaller restaurants. Currency exchange is available at banks, hotels, and the airport, and ATMs accepting Visa and Mastercard are found in main towns.
The ideal time to visit is from March to June and September to November, when temperatures are warm and comfortable. Summer (July to August) is very hot and busy. Djerba enjoys over 300 days of sunshine per year, making it a viable year-round destination for beach lovers.
Arabic is the official language of Tunisia. French is widely spoken as a second language and is very useful for getting around. In tourist areas of Djerba, some English is understood, especially in hotels and larger restaurants, but brushing up on basic French phrases will make exploring the island more enjoyable.
Djerba is relatively relaxed by Tunisian standards, and beachwear is fine at the resort areas and beaches. When visiting towns, markets, and religious sites like the El Ghriba Synagogue or local mosques, it is respectful to cover shoulders and knees. Modest dress earns goodwill from locals and enriches your experience in non-resort areas.
Djerba is known for fresh seafood, and a plate of grilled fish at a harbor-side restaurant is a highlight. Other local favorites include brik a l'oeuf (a crispy pastry filled with egg and tuna), lablabi (a hearty chickpea soup), couscous with fish, and the fiery condiment harissa. Tunisian mint tea and fresh dates round out the experience.
