Butrint is about 18 kilometers (11 miles) south of Saranda ā roughly a 30-minute drive along the Albanian Riviera. The coastal route is scenic and straightforward, making it one of the most accessible half-day excursions from Saranda.
The park involves a fair amount of walking on uneven terrain, ancient paths, and some inclines. While the main areas are manageable for most visitors, those with significant mobility challenges may find parts of the site difficult. Comfortable, closed-toe shoes are highly recommended for everyone.
