The Aqueduct Eagle was built in the late 19th century by Francisco Cantarero Senio to carry water to his sugar refinery. At the time, Mudejar architecture was experiencing a revival, and the four stories of horseshoe-shaped arches are topped with a traditional spire. This in turn is crowned by a weather vane shaped like a double-headed eagle. The aqueduct is still used for local irrigation. Along with a good vantage from a nearby bridge, a walking trail passes under the aqueduct, which offers a great photo opportunity.
