A series of verdant sloping hills and accessible walking trails make up the Circuito Indio Dormido or тАШThe Sleeping Indian CircuitтАЩ. Its name stems from the distinct humps that make up the feet, belly and head of a slumbering giant. The belly and right foot are open to the public and feature well-maintained trails with footpaths and bridges that lead the way to multiple viewpoints. After a moderate 4 kilometer hike to the first peak, stunning views of the Parana River invite you to take a seat and soak in the view for a while before returning. While hikers donтАЩt have to be at the top of their fitness game, itтАЩs important to be prepared with hiking shoes and a couple bottles of water. Guided hikes with rappelling or ziplining are available for purchase at the Tourist Information Center and start at around 20,000 Paraguayan Guarani (~3 EUR).
