Over the past 15 million years, glacial streams have eaten their way through stone, forming this deep gorge. The stone entrance was built in the 1700тАЩs, while the nearby tower and тАШDevilтАЩs HouseтАЩ are believed to be from the early 1800s. Named for its frescoes depicting the devil, the earliest documented image of it is from 1840. Once through the threshold, an elevated walkway weaves its way through the gorge walls, culminating and a cascading waterfall, which plunges into a vibrant, blue lagoon.
