Mount Kinabalu Botanical Garden

A walk through this lush garden gives a sampling of the mind-boggling biodiversity of the UNESCO-listed Kinabalu Park.

About

The Mount Kinabalu Botanical Garden gives a sampling of the some 5-6000 species of flora that call the surrounding home Kinabalu Park home in a lush, natural environment. A network of 16 trails bring visitors through the endemic jungle that has had many species transplanted from the park’s different areas. On your trek, you’ll find plenty of rare and unique species, ranging from elegant orchids, to Showy Asian Grapes, and pitcher plants - along the way, informative signs share information on the garden’s plants and animals. For an even more informative experience, it’s also possible to join a guided tour (9AM, 12PM, and 3PM daily) with a knowledgeable guide who will point out things you might overlook!
