Spanning across 85 hectares, the Purwodadi Botanical Garden is one of the three branches of the Botanic Gardens of Indonesia, each having their own specific purposes. This garden showcases an extraordinary diversity of plant life, with thousands of species represented within its vast grounds. Be treated to a captivating display of rare and endangered plants, passing ornamental gates inspired by the Penataran temple. A long avenue unfolds, leading towards the distant Mount Baung, while majestic Jacaranda and Golden Shower trees flank the central path. Exploring further, you’ll encounter a beautiful palm area, picturesque ponds adorned with aquatic plants and vibrant water lilies, charming gazebos to relax and unwind in and a series of glasshouses with splendid collections of orchids. Marvel at the rich diversity of tropical Javanese fruits including mangoes and bananas, and explore the library, seed collection and plant nursery. The garden is open every day from 7AM to 4PM with an entry fee of RP 6,000.
