Sadecki Ethnographic Park

Experience life in 17th-19th century Poland as you explore this fascinating recreation of traditional folk village amongst the serene beauty of the Polish countryside.

About

Sadecki Ethnographic Park is the largest heritage museum in the Malopolska region of Poland. The park displays the wooden architecture and traditional folk culture of local ethnic groups, and ecompasses 70 buildings on an area of over 20 hectares. Among the buildings, visitors will find country cottages, a 17th-century nobleman’s house, a manorial farm, and Roman-Catholic, Greco-Catholic Orthox, and Protestant churches dating as far back at the 18th-century. The park also features buildings of German settlers from the Folkowice Dolne, and a small Gypsy camp at the edge of the forest. Recently added to the park’s fascinating displays is a Galician Town including the reconstruction of a small market square, a town hall, a regional tavern, and a fire station.
