Glen Coe
This beautiful section of the Scottish Highlands has been featured in everything from Monty Python and the Holy Grail to Harry Potter.
Om
An extinct supervolcano carved out by a glacier, Glen Coe is perhaps one of the most geologically distinctive areas in the Scottish Highlands. Filmmakers have been aware of Glen Coeâs distinctive beauty for decades, and fans might recognize the chasm once spanned by the Bridge of Death in Monty Python and the Holy Grail, and three sets were built in Clachaig gully for Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. The site just across from the Clachaig Inn is the most notable as it was used in subsequent Harry Potter films. Even if youâre not a Potter-head, Glen Coeâs walking trails still bring visitors through some of Scotlandâs most dramatic landscapes.
