The Lockport Cave & Underground Boat Ride showcases some of the engineering feats of the 19th century. The historic Erie Canal locks 67-71, constructed in 1838, where a technical feat of their day, managing to bring boats uphill! The walking tour puts them in perspective within the industrialization movement that defined America. This boom period eventually busted, leaving behind ghosts of industry.
