Masino Castle

For centuries, the Counts of Valperga called Masino castle home. Originally surrounded by walls and towers, over the years it eschewed its fortifications in favour of elegance. Now it’s ringed by a monumental, romantic park with panoramic views of the Canavese plains. A guided tour walks visitors through the richly decorated interiors, with frescoed halls, princely furniture, and even an 19th century billiards table. The castle’s Palazzo delle Carrozze boasts a superb collection of coaches of the 18th and 19th centuries. Once finished with the interior take some time to walk through one of the largest labyrinths in Europe, or just admire the breathtaking panoramic views.
