Stretching as far as the eye can see, these rolling, tea-tree covered hills paint an enchanting picture.
The Moc Chau Tea Plantation is one of many covering the highland province of Lam Dong. The cooler weather 1,000 meters above sea level creates an ideal growing environment for a variety of tea species. Rather than letting the trees grow to their full height, they are kept trimmed to waist-level for easy harvesting. Visitors can elect to simply walk through the hills to enjoy the verdant views of the vast valley, which is made even more beautiful between November and February when the fields of flowers of flowers are in bloom. If you’d like to learn more about the tea-growing tradition, and meet some of the friendly locals, you can join a guided tour of the plantations, and even help with the harvest if you’re looking for an even more immersive experience.
