Museo Aereo Fenix

The Museo Aereo Fenix is the only civil aviation and railroad museum in Colombia. On display are 27 aircraft dating from World War II through today, most of which are fully operational, and include a Douglas C-47B, a Beechcraft C-45, a North American AT-6D and a Stearman PT-17. The staff at Aereo Fenix know the detailed backgrounds for most of the aircraft, and unlike many museums, they let visitors inside some of the aircraft! There are also 4 locomotives from the early 20th century, and two huge model railroads, including the third largest in the world. The Museo Aereo Fenix is also well known for its collection of over 3,500 models, many of which are displayed in incredibly detailed dioramas.
