This contemporary art museum showcases the pioneering glass work of Ramon Orlina along with other Philipino artists.
The Museo Orlina is dedicated to the groundbreaking career of the Philippino artist Ramon Orlina. Before Orlina’s appearance on the scene, glass was largely utilitarian, with abstract-but-still-functional vessels, or conceptual paperweights being as far as things were taken. However, seeing the potential in the medium, Orlina began creating true art from glass, and started receiving major commissions for his work. Along with Orlina’s dazzling work, the museum has a rotating exhibition of work from other local artists, and a roof deck from which you can enjoy panoramic views of Lake Taal.
