Sipi Falls

The Sipi Falls consists of 3 waterfalls separated by dramatic hillsides covered in gorgeous green vegetation. The highest of the three waterfalls has an altitude of 100 metres; the other two are 85 metres and 75 metres respectively. Set amongst a beautiful landscape, the falls are commonly called one of the most romantic places in Uganda. As the sunshine hits the mist that emanates from the heavy flow of water, Sipi Falls even create their own rainbows! The water is cold and the climate cool; a welcome escape from Uganda’s tropical climate and warm temperatures. Man-made caves allow you to view the falls from behind as the cascading water forms natural swimming pools at the base of each one. With trails varying from 40 minutes to 3-4 hours if you want to see each of the waterfalls, be sure to adjust the duration of this stop depending on which you intend to take! Please note that Mount Elgon National Park charges an admission fee ($35 for adults and $5 for children), payable upon entry.
