The Ragga Gorge

Enjoy nature’s beauty and power as you follow a river past several waterfalls, and into the heart of a mountain.

About

It took thousands of years for the Ragga gorge, one of the most beautiful canyons in the Alps, to form. A walking trail brings visitors through this natural wonder, passing several waterfalls, and gorgeous rock formations on wooden bridges that wind through a canyon so narrow, it’s sometime hard to see the sky. Once you emerge on the other side, a shady forest path through the Möll valley allows you to admire the village of Flattach and the surrounding Hohe Tauern mountain range. Good shoes are recommended as the path and stairs can get slippery. The gorge is closed in the winter.
