The Jeongneung Royal Tombs house the tomb of King Danjong, the 6th Joseon King, and the Cheongpyeong area boasts the largest pine grove in Korea, where King Danjong once resided before his untimely demise at the age of 17. In addition to its historical significance, Yeongwol houses a plethora of art galleries and museums.
