Morocco
Soak in the Morrocan sun at Bouznika, one of its smaller coastal towns.
Bouznika is a small city of about 40,000 people halfway between the large cities of Casablanca and Rabat. Despite its small size, it has an urban sand beach sheltered by a coastal inlet that is more than 1.2 miles (2 km) long. Bouznika Beach has plenty of shops for the best possible beach experience, too. At the Eden Island Surf Club, you can rent equipment to try surfing on windy days and paddleboarding on calmer days. For a faster-paced adventure, rent jet skis. Umbrellas and sunbathing chairs are also available. Small, locally-run food stalls on the shore serve fresh fish and other Moroccan cuisine. The terracotta hotels and resorts, with their restaurants and bars, are also just steps from the shore.
