Bar serves as an excellent base for exploring Montenegro. Budva and its beaches are 40 minutes away, Kotor's stunning bay is about an hour, and Podgorica, the capital, is 45 minutes inland. Modern Bar is relatively walkable for shopping and waterfront areas, though attractions are spread out. Stari Bar sits several kilometers inland from the coast, requiring transportation.
