North America’s most powerful waterfall will leave you stunned and soaked.
Spanning the border between the US and Canada, Niagara Falls is the most powerful and iconic waterfall in North America. And part of the oldest state park in the US. There’s a lot to see, so the trick to visiting is deciding how wet you want to get. For a completely dry experience, head to the Observation Tower near Prospect Point for the only panoramic view of all three Falls. From there, take an elevator to the dock where you can board the “Maid of the Mist” - the iconic boats that have been taking visitors into the splash zone since the late 1800s. Or walk to the base of the Bridal Veil falls at the Cave of the Winds after learning a bit about their history (and getting a poncho and sandals) at the World Changed Here Pavilion. For the wettest and wildest experience, head up to the Hurricane Deck is a must where the falls’ self-made weather system will blow you away.
