This organic nut farm helps support the local community while serving up heavenly pancakes and other nut-based goodies.
Valhalla Macadamia Farm was founded by Farm Lorenzo Gottschamer and Emilia Aguirre as part of a larger sustainability project. The family have planted more than 350,000 macadamia trees across the country, which benefits both the environment, and local communities, for whom the nuts are a source of food and income. Valhalla Macadamia Farm serves as their home base, and they welcome visitors to take a guided tour to learn about their work and sample their various nut-based products. But the main attraction here is the restaurant and its famous macadamia pancakes, which are made from macadamia flour, drizzled with creamy macadamia butter, and topped with fresh blueberry marmalade made from the farm’s own organic blueberries. If you’re not in the mood for pancakes, they have all sorts of fresh dishes to enjoy. Valhalla also offers spa sessions using macadamia-based products, so you can really relax in nut nirvana.
